The neckline.

An open collar shows its taupe inner edge against ivory cable columns. The contrast frames the face and leaves the rest of the outfit quiet.

The tailoring.

Charcoal flannel trousers and a jacket left over the chair carry the darker half of the palette. The knit stays the lightest thing in the room.

The cuff.

The taupe cuff repeats the collar's contrast at the wrist, so the detail returns wherever the hands rest.
